Microsoft has just released a Windows 11 Preview update for Insiders that brings a new microphone shortcut for Microsoft Teams. Along with that, the giant also added an experimental new feature that allows users to share content from other applications with Microsoft Teams on Windows 11 while in a meeting.
The new Windows + Alt + K microphone toggle shortcut currently only works on Microsoft Teams. In addition, users can also perform the same task by clicking on the microphone icon located next to the Wifi / Ethernet network icons, volume and battery in the system tray, instead of manipulating many steps as before.
According to Microsoft, this new shortcut makes it easy for users to monitor the status of their call audio or which applications are accessing the microphone and quickly mute the call at any time.
In other news, Microsoft is currently testing a new feature that allows users to share Microsoft Teams meeting content directly from the Taskbar. Accordingly, this new feature eliminates manual switching steps between windows and helps users focus more on Teams meetings.
